This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
I am not a newcomer to the Internet scene and I have seen my fair share of art communities. It's disheartening, however, when you see an increase in the lack of self-esteem people have when posting their work. Comments like " I know it sucks, but I'm posting it anyway" make me question the amount of effort that was put into the work itself.
If you do not have the passion or desire to show yourself off to others, then don't. The lack of self-esteem tells me that you're not proud of yourself and what you finished. I'm sure very few will actually read this, if any at all, but I felt I needed to get this off my chest. Be proud that you did your best. People will respect that. If they don't. . . they shouldn't be in an art community to begin with.
